ASUU Strike Update: LASU, UI And Others Join OAU, UNILORIN Yet To Comply

ASUU STRIKE UPDATE

It has been Reported that schools like Lagos State University (LASU), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, University of Uyo (UYO), University of Ibadan (UI) and some others have joined the ongoing warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities ASUU.

Many schools has complied with the warning strike initiated by the ASUU .In line with the directive by the National Executive Committee of ASUU academic activities have been grounded in those schools.

The on going examination of the University of Ibadan has been suspended.

However some schools like University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) and Obafemi Awolwo University (OAU) are not willing to comply with the warning strike.

Negotiations and consultations are currently going on to ensure that this does not degenerate to a full-blown or indefinite strike action by ASUU.

The strike action is expected to end Monday next week, that of course is if their demands are met because the union has made up their minds to continue till it is met.
